Transmission Problems

I have a 1995 powerstroke with the e4od. when i put it in gear the rpms drop and damn near dies. it also does it when i try to stop. last time this happend to me i swapped transfer cases. Any chance its the same thing againor is my torque converter going out?

There are several things that could cause this.
Low trans fluid.
Loose internal filter.
Leaking internal seals.
Worn out pump.
Wiring problem to the torque converter clutch solenoid.
Bad torque converter clutch solenoid.
Bad torque converter.
Bad PCM.

They are listed in the order of most likely to least likely.
