I think I just broke the sprag in the TC....

PI Stallion from BTS with about 4,000 miles on it. Used to stall about 22-2400 and now it will only do 1100. It really makes the truck sluggish until it gets to rolling a little. I'm going to call Brian tomorrow. Dang I hate taking that thing out again!

Apparently breaking the sprag is very common with the PI's. When I get my tranny back from BTS I'm going to ask Brian if he has a logical explanation as to why they break and keep on breaking, maybe he'll know?

Well, Brian is sending me a new TC. He said they are working on making them better. I've been hearing a chirping sound everytime the truck shifts and it kept getting worse until it chirped when I pull it in gear or just touch the throttle. A few days ago, it quit chirping and wouldn't stall up past 1100 anymore. Brian said the chirping was the sprag slipping.

Brian's got a TC and fluid on it's way.
Technically, it's 6 weeks out of warranty, but he's not charging me anything. I just have to ship back the old one.

Cale's tuning, only 28 passes on the track, and no truck pulls.

There is a converter regulator valve that is supposed to limit the pressure to the torque converter to 120 PSI regardless of where line pressure is.
