Anyone have contact with Gregg Evans Factory Tech Performace

Since day one i have had this slight hang up between 1st and 2nd gear. Well now ive installed stage 2 injectors, had the tranny built, and now i really have a good 1 almost 2 second shift from first to second. It taps the limiter before it hits second. I have tried and tried to get ahold of Gregg Evans to see if the problem is in the Acc. body. I cant seem to get any reply. Ive changed the solenoid pack, we installed a tugger reprogram kit ontop of the acc body. Still no go. Ive just sent the chip back to Jody to work out some bugs on some other stuff. But i really want this fixed. Any ideas? Thanks

The 1 - 2 valve in the VB may be sticking. Sonnax makes a tool to hone the bore, BTS just uses the shank end of the right OD drill bit to hone the bore. Also both Transgo and Sonnax makes replacement steel valves to replace the stock aluminum valve.

Hmm. Might take it to my tranny guy see what he says. I didnt want to have to drop another 250 on another acc. body. Def. would go to a BTS if i have to. I would have figured thats what he would do if hes selling a performance part, would be to do all the little tricks to it.

I have a slow, soft shifting 1-2 as well with my trans-go kit. what is your seperator plate drilled to? my 1-2 shift is drilled to .125 and its still soft, Im gonna call jody to see if its the progamming for the 80 tow tune im running.

I would think you should have a firm shift in tow mode?

Are you sure you aren't actually shifting into 2nd and simply flaring the converter until it locks up?

I just got my chip back from Jody, His new tranny tunes are awsome. I havent been able to get on it and see whats up with the WOT shifts, its been raining. But im pretty sure its not the converter. Ive got a lockup switch hooked up too, and ive tried locking it manually when it shifts from 1st to 2nd and its still doing it. I dont know what the plates drilled at. Im prolly just gonna take the Acc. back out and let my tranny guy play with it some, might put in a .500 mod valve. I dont think he went all the way with drilling the hole because he didnt know how it would act with the Acc. body. That or im gonna bite the bullet and spend another 250 bucks that i dont have on a BTS.
