New they're about 4300. 3yo is out of Brian's official warranty, but if you took it to him to have it refreshed & tuned to your truck I'm sure he'd give you at least a year of warr.
I haven't seen very many BTS for sale, so I'm not sure about price. Say, start about 2k.

Go ARMY!

Yeah I agree 2000-2500 is the range I would shoot for.

That's what I was thinking ......$2000-2500...good suggestion, I'll give Brian a call tomorrow to ask about giving it the once over.....if it's not to much $$, that might be the way to do it.

That right there is the smartest thing. I have seen one or two who switched the trans from one truck to another truck, totally different trucks. Different set ups, different everything, and not talk to Brian about it. You never know, it totally depends on when and how the trans was set up to begin with. Brian may advise you to send it back so he can go through it. He keeps perfect records on every single trans that goes through his hands.

I just saw one that broke, the guy went on TDS and posted how the trans was a year old and he did not know why it broke. I was down in Arkansas, saw the paperwork and the trans.....the trans was right at 2 1/2 years old and had never had a fluid/filter change. WTS? I know people forget how long they've had mods and all, but geez. Brian took care of that trans, no charges except for shipping. Most shops would have charged the guy an arm and a leg to fix it.
A $4,000 trans and you don't ever service it? Dang. You just never know what you are getting yourself into. But, Brian can give you some good information on that trans you are dealing with.

Good luck! I can tell you that if we had to give up everything on either/both of our two trucks but one thing.....we would keep our BTS trannys.
