Question VIN Code?

How can I tell if I have the 4 or 5 speed trans in my 2004 F350? Is there a VIN code? Thanks in advance.

The easy way to tell is that in 2004 if it is a diesel it's a five speed and if it is a gas engine it's a four speed.

Re: VIN Code?

Bitchen thanks, the owners manual says you could have either the 5 or 4 speed.

Re: VIN Code?

You could have either a five speed or a four speed. If you have a diesel you have a five speed. If you have a gas you have a four speed.
