E4OD tranny help please

I guess i have been running it too hard if that is possible. But anyway my tranny gave up the ghost today and I need to find one that can handle my abuse and current upgrades(cold air, 5 inch exhaust, programmer) as well as any future upgrades (stage 2 injectiors and turbo) that may take place someday. However I am working with a really tight budget so i will gladly take any ideas anyone has. Right now the winning bid is a local company will rebuild mine for $1400 with a tugger kit, high temp clutchs and a ford hd torque converter any thing i should change or should i just go in a different route?

what programmer are ya running? plus im no trans building but stage 2's and a turbo to match will get you close to 500(i may be wrong) so you may need a built trans.

1400$ is not that much for a rebuild. If you want it to last you should get a buildt trans. I would recommend a racer-x trans, what part of the country are you it?

Re: E4OD tranny help please

Has anyone heard of ko performance out of Flordia. They have a stage 3 that seems to have some pretty good parts in it and a triple disc converter for $3k and no core or shipping charges. I am just a little worried about spending that kinda of money on something from ebay.

You need to head to Brian's Truck Shop. He's in Lead Hill, AR. Best in the business.

That trans is labeled as re-manufactured. That means there is still used crap in it. And for 3k you can build a transmission that all new wear parts in it.
