sonnax/tricumulator and Edge Evo II??

Ok, narrowing down what to get. I have sold the Edge Juicew/Attitude and am ordering the Evo II. I need to know if the increased line pressure or shift firmer provided by the Edge is gonna overpressurize the tranny (or harm it in any way) with the addition of the sonnax/tricumulator mod. Has anyone tried this? As I mentioned in my other tranny thread, I am trying to prevent problems, not create any....lol. Thanks in advance.

I think you'll be better off if you pull that Sonnax kit out & spend the money on a Trans Go Tugger kit & a DP Tuner. I think the Sonnax raises the line pressure too much so that plus an Edge might be too much on it.

If you run the Sonnax/Tri combp along with a tuner, the tuner will need to be set up for the trans mods. Just your average tuner will make the truck shift way too hard and might damage parts.

Re: sonnax/tricumulator and Edge Evo II??

well, called Edge today and they told me that he addition of the Sonnex/tricumulator can be offset with the EVO II tranny program that allows the user to decrease the line pressure on the tranny. Thats a plus I think. As far as running a DP Tuner, I have opted not to go that route as I dont need that many programs and I am not wild about having gauges up the A pillar that currently has my "cant get in here" handle....lol. In all honesty, I believe that the EVO II is the way to go for me. The #2 setting on the EVO will probably all I ever use. Thanks for the input guys! Now I just gotta get someone to help pull the tranny and swap the convertor out and exhaust and, and....whew! Cant wait to get this done.

If you set it to stock trans profile that is where I would start and go from there.
