inputshaft ???

So I just got a new pump for my e40d from racer x and after installing it the input shaft wont slide out by hand. Now with the old pump I could slide the input shaft in and out very easily. So my question is: Is this because there are new seals holdingit in tighter? Or did I not install properly? I've taken it outand put it back in and everything seems ok????

Re: inputshaft ???

Did you install the pump using the old input for alignment?

Re: inputshaft ???

How did you keep the torrington bearing in place while you bolted the pump in?

Re: inputshaft ???

i did use the old input shaft for allignment and a little fluid on the bearing kept it in place.

i took the pump out twice and just not sure, I' m a plumber not a mechanic which is part of the problem, I'm sure!!
