ZF6 ?

So I am reading this thread regarding putting a short throw shifter onto a zf5

How-to Install: Short Throw Shifter - Powerstroke Nation

In that post BigStroker talks about a reverse lockout spring that dropped into the tranny.

My question, does the ZF6 have the same thing? I took my shifter off when we put the engine back in, I remember hearing nothing drop inside when I did it. I was paying attention, but anything is possible. Thanks for the info in advance.

Re: ZF6 ?

When you put it in, was there a spring or something that potentially could've dropped into the tranny to ruin your day is my question.

I've seen those kits before, have a hard time justifying the price.
