5r110 pressure switches/wiring harness.

I have an 03 f250 with 5r110. had trans rebuilt and wiring harness was damaged. mech gave me a valve body with everything on it. removed the harness and realized that the harness has no pressure switch connectors. My trans has pressure switches. Is this as simple as deleting the switches with plugs? Does the later 5r110 not have pressure switches? Need help determining next step. Thanks

Re: 5r110 pressure switches/wiring harness.

The pressure switches were never used in any 5R110. When the decision was made to eliminate them many had already been built, so they were left in place to act as plugs. You can either leave them disconnected or replace them with plugs. Your software doesn't look for them.

Re: 5r110 pressure switches/wiring harness.

Thanks Mark. The mech gave me an additional valve body with some of the holes already plugged with solid ports. The valve body on the tranny now has the sensors still in them. Would you recommend changing the valve body on the tranny with the one with solid ports? I am going to have to get a wiring harness. Thanks for the help.

Re: 5r110 pressure switches/wiring harness.

It makes no difference if you use one with the switches or not. Nothing ever looks at the pressure switches, they are just plugs.
