6.0 converter

I think my converter is going out on my 95. It's got about 101k on the original trans. A few times now in reverse, the truck kinda takes off and the engine sounds like a 5 speed letting the clutch out with no throttle if that makes sense. Since I'm still in school and money is tight, I was wondering if people are still putting 6.0 converters in E4ODs.

Yep, not a true 6.0 tq..they come with a 7.3 front face.

how much better do these hold up, not trying to hijack his thread but i think my tc is going out to.

I'm not making big power so I'm not too worried about it. The most I'll see is low 300's when I get stage 1's. I plan on getting a valve body from Cale too.

Well John Wood use the 6.0 in his trans builds..not the exact same one as his are designed for much more HP. Stock 6.0 tq's are holding up to over 400HP.
