I have a 99 7.3 with 280k miles. While driving hwy speeds around 70 it felt like the tranny tried to downshift and then banged back into od. truck basically bucked for a second or two. no lights flashing and no other problems. drove just fine after.should i be concerned? thanks in advance

Re: 4r100 issue?

so i figured out the problem. sorry for the daly. apparently on an exact spot of interstate in front of a trucking company with a large tower antenna. my truck does this. it seems to be electrical interference as it actually will raise the engine rpms. it wont buck and try to change gears if i am completely off the gas pedal. it is the craziest thing and it is consisitent at the exact spot it will start and stop acting up. wish i knew how to fix it. any helps or thoughts appreciated.

Re: 4r100 issue?

i dont believe it is trans related at all except the trans is getting crazy mixed signals from the engine as this interference makes the engine surge.
