Intermittently over the last couple days I've been having some issues. I was slowing to a stop going btw 1-10mph each time when all the sudden I get a huge bang from the driveline. the rpm doesn't change or stutter and the truck drives normally after this like it always has. Fluid is clean an looks/smells good (was changed every 40k miles now has 123,000miles total on truck) I run an aux trans cooler plus factory stuff. Truck is stock with the exception of a straight pipe, 6637 filter, ww2/rebuilt turbo, gauges, 6 pos powerhungry chip. Love the tunes and its always shifted well with no problems. Trans and transfer case are not leaking and havn't had any issues thus far except the fluid bypass getting stuck which I replaced. Love my Excursion and need the 4x4 so I cant afford to be with out my truck any suggestions? It almost feels like its jumping out of gear?
its an intermittent problem drove 21mi. this morning making several stops and no issues until I got home when entering my garage, which has a slight incline, and it felt like the brakes were on for a second then it acted normal. I havn't noticed any other slippage or anything with or with out tunes. By the way its an '02 7.3 4x4. 40 something degrees this morning trans temp was 125
