Heard a few negative comments about that one. I have a JW and love it. If you will be getting a tuner tell John so he can tune the vb accordingly

Re: Factory Tech valvebody

I've been running one for 50,000+ miles. Started running it when i got my first chip and its still running with my hybrids. I can tell my trans is slowly dieing, but that's just the power level and me driving it a lot. No complaints here, its definately lasted longer than it should.

Edit: Make sure you get your chip reburned for the valve body no matter which one you go with.

I have one and if I was to buy another I would get either John Woods or BTS's valve body. Mainly because of the harsh shifts. It does shift quicker and firmer but IMO too firm. Just my 2 cents.

Re: Factory Tech valvebody

I was stock at first, then went with a factory tech, now i have a bts version... The factory tech was way too harsh for me, the bts is exactly what i was looking for (positive shift without "slamming")

Re: Factory Tech valvebody

Same with my JW. Positive shifts but no hammer stuff. I love it.

I once had a question about a 4r100 trans. I emailed my question to about 5 people. One of them was this address ([email protected]). I don't know who received or replied to my question but if it was Greg Evans, I don't want anything that has a connection to him.

If only those who knew what they were talking about replied, this thread would still be on page one.

I thought Greg sold a good trans till he sold the whole operation to our buddy Jasper?

Re: Factory Tech valvebody

I prefer the BTS stuff. Had the monsterbox with the ftvb (jasper junk), and it shifted too hard. Probably why it busted the clutch drum a couple of times. (at least one for sure) I know because I tore it apart myself before sending it to BTS as a core with around 5,000 miles on it. Brand new and junk. (went through five remans before going BTS)

BTS took it off my hands and hooked me up with a nice new one.
Wont be going back down that road again.
