trans cooler, oil cooler

I'm going to order a hd trans cooler, will it hook up using the existing lines?
what size are the oem lines?

also, can I use a trans cooler as an engine oil cooler? the reason for this is price, on Jegs an oil cooler is more than $100 over the cost of a trans cooler,
if I can do this, I think I'd be using their oil adapter kit?

any help out there?

thanks
John

Re: trans cooler, oil cooler

What type of HD tranny cooler?

SD stock hard lines are 3/8"

Re: trans cooler, oil cooler

Why do you need an additional oil cooler? In your local I can't see you having an issue. My stock setup does fine here in the extreem heat of Az. pulling miles of up to 6% grades. Just curious.
