OK guys, so a couple more questions regarding a rebuilt tranny. I thought it was a complete piece of crap, but after talking to John Wood, he thinks it's all Jody's tunes at DP
. I'm trying to do some data logging as back up to send to Jody. I emailed Jody prior to calling John and Jody basically blamed all my issues on the tranny.
The biggest issue seems to be the tranny slipping in and out of lock up, hard noticeable downshift at 50mph no matter what, shifts not clean and precise and almost seems to hang between shifts(AE
kinda confirmed this for during shift commands). Rebuilt unit is supposed to have sonnex shift kit and came with Daaco triple disc low stall TC
While data logging today I noticed that during the 1-2 shift the solenoid 1 and 2 both stay signaled "on" and the trans seems to hang between the 2 shifts. This does the same at the 2-3 shift. What's weird is solenoid 3 never shows a command, but tranny still goes into 3rd and then 4th. Do I have the solenoids mixed up in my mind? Does solenoid 1 control 2-3 shift and solenoid 2 control 3-4? Leaving solenoid 3 never commanding anything?
Also, should the vehicle speed sensor read actual speed in AE
? Mine is only reading either .1up to about 40, .2 from 45-70, or .3 on highway.
Any help on parameters or what to monitor and look for in AE
would be great.
