6 speed ??

I've got a friend with an 05 6.0 with a 6 speed and 6th has been slowly going out it won't stay in gear. When it was working it would just fall out of gear while driving down the freeway. Any ideas where to start?

Re: 6 speed ??

What did it end up being? Mine does that every once in a while in 3rd, but it is intermittent.

Re: 6 speed ??

Usually means your synchro's are going out. The tranny for the most part is bullet proof.
