94 E4OD in a 95 F250 7.3

Need to know if tranny can just be bolted up and go..or is there something that has to be done. I did just this and my OD light is blinking and I have only , what appears to be second and overdrive, no first or third. Any suggestions as to what could be the cause?

Read the codes. That will tell you what the computer doesn't like. Without the codes all I can tell you is something is wrong.

Just wanted to thank all who responded. I flushed tranny then swapped the shift pack (solenoid) from my 95 E4od to the 94. Which is installed in my 95 F250. It works fantastic now. I have all gears and I shifts great.
