dexron vi in zf-6

It is o.k. to use dexron vi in the zf-6 and transfercase. I was going to change my transmission and transfer case fluid today. I wanted to use synthetic but the local oriellys only has dexron vi in synthetic and wal-mart doesn't have any synthetic transmission fluid.

What about the royal purple synchromax gear oil. The royal purple site says to use it in manual transmissions that were designed for atf.

Re: dexron vi in zf-6

I always used Mobil 1 or Schaeffers ATF in my transfer case and ZF-6.

I believe both of those are mercon V, and Im pretty sure thats whats called for.

Royal Perple just got "busted" for false advertising or something close to it, so I wouldnt waste money on it.
