6.4 Converter

Am I to understand a stock 6.4 converter will fit in an E4OD and perform a whole hell of a lot better than stock?

simple question, simple answer please

Re: 6.4 Converter

I believe it will but the flex plate needs to be re drilled for the bolts to line up.

Re: 6.4 Converter

It will work fine, and is way tougher than a stock E4OD converter.

It has 6 studs and a different pattern I believe, may need spacers for the flexplate as well, like the 6.0 converter.

Best bet is to call john wood and ask him.

isn't he on here? I work crazy hours it would be easier to PM him rather than play phone tag when I should be sleeping.

Re: 6.4 Converter

No. I talked to John and he told me there is a more aggressive angle on the turbine (read lower stall speed) and is built stronger.

I'm trying to remember in more detail what he said but I don't want to mess it up.

It is a beefier unit than the 6.0 converter though, tougher.
