Re: Trany shop in West Michigan??

BTS will ship it to a shop for you to R&R. That is what I did. Shipped it to me, I brought it to a shop, talked to the tech and had him install it for $250 cash. Put the broken trans in the case and dropped it back off at Fedex Freight and was happy.

01 Excursion 7.3L Powerstroke. Gauges with AIH Delete, AIS, CCV Mod, 4' MBRP, BTS Trans, 6.0L Trans Cooler and Intercooler, DP-Tuner F5 chip, ITP In Tank Mod and Boost Annihilator, Diesel Innovation's Regulated Fuel kit, BTS Big Oil system, GTP38R Turbo with 1.15 A/R housing and BPD Stage II AC injectors. Bilstein Shocks with U front and A Rear.

I would like to consider other options beside doing a tranny swap. I was thinking BTS and probably converter but I don't have the facilities to work on it..

Re: Trany shop in West Michigan??

firmer shifts and just make a tranny stronger so I can haul worry free plus drag race from time to time with something like a DP chip (140 tune), exhaust and intake

BTS costs about $3900 and if you drive it there he installs it free. In any case, it DOES come with a converter. Precision Industries Stallion, IIRC.

I know of a great shop that will install the tranny for you if your interested. I live in Muskegon and the shop is my dads shop in Mears/Silver Lake. But other than that not sure of any great rebuilders in the area.
