01 tranny temps

I've noticed that when im driving on the freeway my tranny temp always levels out between 130-140. i was wondering what temps i should be seeing and if this is an issue.

driving 74mph and it's about 73 degrees out. truck has 213k on it never any tranny issues. bone stock

2000 F-450 Dump NLTD tunes

You go by some really bad information. That chart is flat out wrong.

It might have been right back in the 60s, but modern transmission materials and fluids DO NOT fail like that chart says. Don't believe anything that chart tells you.

Normal for your trans is 60-100F above ambient. So in 73F weather I would expect about 130-175F transmission temperatures.

I know but I remember asking you if I lived by this would my trans would be safe, right.
I realize it will be fine at higher temps but if use this as a guide will my trans be ok for awhile ?
I do have the 6.0 cooler and my temps have not gotten above 175* loaded .

Yes, if you don't go over those temperatures you won't have a problem. If you keep the truck parked in the garage and never drive it you won't have a problem, either.

That chart was designed to scare people into spending money on coolers to keep the trans cooler than it needs to be.
