Exclamation fluid coming out of top of tranny

Just bought a 96 PSD, e4od, and it shifts great. But trans fluid started coming out of top of tranny, no burnt smell either, nice and red/pink, it also reads high on dipstick. Is there anything other than overfilling that could cause this?

Re: fluid coming out of top of tranny

It's overfilled. Lower the level.
