This is all I have for pictures right now, but on the left is a 4x4 zf6
with a t.case and on the right is a 2wd zf6
. The bracket I think your talking about, that's 2/3rds of the way back, I'm almost positive is for the manual transfer case lever. You might be able to see it in this picture because this has a manual t.case. Obviously if you use an electric transfer case you won't need this bracket.
This is a better picture of the 2wd zf6
. You can see where the slave cylinder goes into the bell housing. There are no brackets or anything for it, the slave cylinder goes into that hole, gets twisted and locked in, and that's that.
