Question Building a trans to hold 600hp?

Hey guys, I am looking at running about a 550-600 rwhp set up and want to know what I need to do to the tranny. Buying a $7k built tranny is out of the question. If that is necessary, I would sell the truck. I know a buddy of mine just had his rebuilt with performance upgraded parts.

Anyways, transmissions are not my forte at all. So can anyone help me compile a parts list?

Thanks a lot.

Btw, truck is a 07 with 5r110

Re: Building a trans to hold 600hp?

With good tuning stock trans should last a while besides the converter trans is the same as a 6.4l and guys r running those with 550-600hp with more torque..might want to upgrade converter to a billet these tránsmissions like tuning because they have pressure control for each clutch unlike most transmission that have one epc solenoid that varies line pressure then gos through a valve body and accumulators dealing with vb and accumulators is the only way to make those last.. 5r110 has none of that transgo has a kit out that addresses a few common issues but doesn't really give it any more power capacity might be worth just running and see how it acts when u get the engine mods done

It doesn't take $7k to have a trans that will take it...we can get you a BTS for much less. PM me your zip if I can help.
