Transmission stuck in 5th

My buddy just rebuilt his transmission out of his 03 6.0 and it bangs in and out of gears and gets stuck in 5th when we come to a stop. Not running any tunes and has the ats torque converter. Any clues what could he causing this?

Re: Transmission stuck in 5th

What do you mean by good solenoid? There are seven solenoids. Is only one good?
