what do i need to make it work

What all would I have to do to make a 2wd five speed work on my 4 wheel drive? Running out of options and have a chance to get a 2wd trans for a fair price

Re: what do i need to make it work

Disassembly of both trans' swap main shafts and tailhousings. While its apart would only make sense to do all new synchros. Overall picture probably not really much different then just rebuilding the one you have, but that is just IMO.

00 f250 some stuff done always more to do.
Best advice I have seen on here "If you cant afford to build it right you certainly cant afford to build it twice"

Re: what do i need to make it work

How hard would it be to swap main shafts and tail housing? Is that absolutely it?
