Decent gas treatment??

Ok I know this is primarly a diesel site but got a question in regards to a gaser....wife drives a 2001 chevy lumina back and forth to work, well she was recently promoted only thing is her round trip for the day is about 80 miles the thing does ok milage wise ~27-29 but was thinking about some of those so called "gas treatments" you see i.e. STP and such, claiming to clean injectors and all, anyway are any of these any good? or just like the rest of the snake oils out there

stay safe out there

Techron

Its the best stuff over the counter wise to clean injection systems on a gasser.

But if its actually dirty at all change the fuel filter after running a tank of the stuff. It gets so much gunk out of the tank and such it will glog a fuel filter fast.

The big 3 actually import chevron gas with techron in for the epa test and such as its not sold locally there.

Thanks, funny you refer to Techron. Being on our F.D. Hazmat team I travel quite a bit for training, always attend a conference in Houston Tx. And the guy who holds the patient on that stuff is always there to, a really neat, nice guy by the name of Diter Hiens, he is always the first one to the bar, first to by the rounds and last to leave, but all around nice neat guy to talk to

X3 for BG Products. We carry most of them for gassers, and our other stores have gas and diesel products. Hell of a bonus to get the stuff for free as well, I mean product for demonstration use.

I believe the oil treatments they make are crap.

Ive heard the fuel treatment is decent tho.

Lucas is just one of those companies I choose to stay away from (personally)

Ive been using the marine STA-BIL made for gas with that ethanol crap in it.
