trying to get either a fleetguard or amsoil filter

I have been looking around trying to find the Fleetguard 3974,3374, or the 9691 and i have looked around for amsoil but no one around here has the ones that fit a 7.3. Where can i get them?

Re: trying to get either a fleetguard or amsoil filter

Are you looking for a single or dual bypass filter. I have a dual kit in the garage by Amsoil but you need to keep it very close to the original filter location or you'll have lube issues. I can help you find a single bypass system.

Actually i was looking for just a Full Flow filter to go on the block, but i am interested in going with a bypass set up.

The Dual remote kit will is a bolt on kit. It uses 2 filters. PM me and I'll help you out. Don't want to bend the rules since I'm not a sponsor here yet.

Re: trying to get either a fleetguard or amsoil filter

Try these sites for the filters. Saved about $15 on my oil filter here compared to the local Napa Stores and about $20 on the 6637 air filter.

I would stay away from the Amsoil Dual bypass system for these trucks. The single bypass system they offer is better. I had the dual bypass system installed and my oil analysis reports came back with elevated iron levels. I removed it and when with a single bypass system - I chose Oilguard. You can do a search and find folks that have had similar problems with the amsoil dual bypass, there was a huge thread on this over at thedieselstop.com a while back. If I remember correctly Amsoil no longer recommends the dual bypass for the 7.3L, the single bypass. I learned a $350 lesson taht week. Which I now see they only cost $250.
