Oil Spinner?

I was reading on one of the other diesel forms about motor oil and one of the big rig drivers stated he had an "oil spinner" on his rig which allowed him longer OCI's. Is this some type of additional filter?

Thanks

Re: Oil Spinner?

we run them on big Cats at work and I will swear by them.. its just like a centrifuge that cleans a lot of crap out of the oil.. have not heard anything about a smaller version for our trucks though..

Re: Oil Spinner?

A bypass system works well for our trucks. Cost is much less than it would probably be to adapt an oil spinner.

Look at the applications. They show an listing for the 7.3L. I like the concept, but I'm not sure how much they cost.

Re: Oil Spinner?

We use Mann-Hummel and a couple other brands of "Spinners" on our equipment, they work well. These types usually use air to operate the filters, not sure how well the smaller versions work.
