Synthetic or not??

I was talking to a Diesel engineer at Ford product development. I was telling him about changing over all my fluids to synthetic. He cautioned against that due to year/mileage (01 7.3/140000K) he thinks due to wear patterns already established I might cause problems done the roads. He agreed if it was a new motor or trans that synthetic is better. Thoughts?

Re: Synthetic or not??

Industrial strength bull. Maybe back in the day that would be true but not anymore. You will be fine on synthetics, they really shine in a PSD in the winter.
