schaefer 9000 or rotella t-6 5-40

Changing my truck over to synthetic I can get either one for about the same price rotella just a little cheaper which one do you guys think is better? Have heard alot of good about both.And which oil filter would you use?

If you can get Schaeffer's for the price of rotella it would be foolish not to use it. I used a mc 1995 filter

I switched to the Schaeffer's 9000 at the start of winter. We've been into the -20 range off and on through the winter. Starts easy, runs much quieter.
Too early for an oil test.
For my situation, it's been a great oil.

1997 F-250, D60, 8in lift/38s, OUO ladder bars, BTS, Spearco 6.0 IC, SRP 1.1, Irate 468 turbo, Dyno proven tunes, P.I.S 300/200s, ARPs/910s/Smith bros push rods, A1000/sump.

I have been running T6 with a Motorcraft filter all winter long and am very pleased with the combination. It has happened by chance the last two changes that Rotella was offering rebates. That is a bonus in my
