DELO 400 5W40 Synthetic Oil

Just wondering if anyone has used this oil. I was at my local NAPA store today inquiring about the Valvoline 5W40 and he recomended the DELO. It's about 7 bucks a gallon cheaper and he claims just as good as the Valvoline. Any thoughts or facts?

Thanks,

Wesley

Re: DELO 400 5W40 Synthetic Oil

Anything Delo has to be good......no kidding. Delo for diesels or gassers is my all time favorite oil. I used to be an Amsoil freak, but my 2002 7.3 proved it to be junk, along with alot of other users. On the other hand, Delo dino has been a proven long distance oil for diesels (and you can throw in gassers too). I can send you Blackstone sample diagnosis to prove it. Delo is tops in my opinion.

My truck really liked the Delo 5W40 Syn. Good analysis reports on 10k samples. Going to change back to it after getting some not so good results with Shaeffers.

My 2002 F350 7.3 really likes the Delo 15w40. I started using it during this oil change, prior to that it was Rotella 15w40 for a while. Nothing against the Rotella, but my truck seems happier with the Delo 15w40?? I never tried the Delo 5w40 but it has to be a great choice.

If there was a supplier close by, I would for sure use the 5W-40 yr round. The 5W-40 is just an endangered species around these parts.

The Delo 5w-40 synthetic didn't shear down like all the other 5w-40 sythetics? Wow. Let's see some UOA reports with the Delo 5w-40 Sythetic!

Re: DELO 400 5W40 Synthetic Oil

the 15-40 delo seems to hold its life much longer than the rotella. I could tell by the sound of the engine around 2500 miles it was due. I'm approaching 3k with the delo and the oil still looks good.

I do notice that the delo runs slightly warmer than the rotella.
