Old Engine Oil in the Fuel Tank

Okay I'll admit I do post over at oil burners everynow & then. They have more IDIs over there. But I still don't feel like the love over there as much as I do here!
Okay enough...

I think you will all find this amuseing, I don't want to give away our secret of the 2 stroke oil. I love the guys running old motor oil in the fuel.

I run veg oil in my 86 all the time. Rear tank has 100% in it! Rudolf Diesel ran his off of peanut oil.

Re: Old Engine Oil in the Fuel Tank

Veggie oil, peanut oil, even new motor oil or tranny fluid I can understand. I don't think I am pouring any used motor oil in my tank.

Re: Old Engine Oil in the Fuel Tank

Some of the Big Rigs have setups that take a small percentage of the engine oil and pump it into the fuel tank to be burned. They have a new oil tank that pumps new oil to the crank case. This system is us to extend oil change intervals.

Remember that most of the IDI guys over there don't even know that the 6.0L has another 1000rpm on the clock!
