Right Coolant

Does it matter what brand of coolant we put in these things? Or do you have to put in only motorcraft? I have 2 jugs of prestone sitting on the shelf, and didn't know if i could throw those in or what.

Brand doesn't matter as long as it is the right type. Prestone has some I would use and some I wouldn't.

If only those who knew what they were talking about replied, this thread would still be on page one.

i got there 50/50 for all vehicles. good/bad?

That coolant should meet 4985 specs and would work but it isn't one I would use. Here are the current Prestone products. http://www.prestone.com/products/antifreezeCoolant.php
Look at the three bottom ones (HD, HD ELC, Prime). Those I would use.
