Re: Royal Purple?

I have run royal purple for along time but change is in the air. I have never had any failers with RP, just like to try different things. This time around I am using Amsoil with the filter bypass kit. I almost hate to do it since I can get RP for $4.50 a quart.

Re: Royal Purple?

You can get the same or better wear metal results on a used oil analysis report with Schaeffer's 15W-40, Schaeffer's 5W-40 synthetic - Chevron Delo 400, or Rotella 5W-40 synthetic. I believe Delo 400 and Schaeffer's are much less expensice than Royal Purple.

Re: Royal Purple?

I've ran it for about 70,000 and I just swithed to valvoline. havn't been hearing very good things about it so that's why I switched. I did get a uoa on the rp before I switched and the results came back good.
