Re: who's Runnin The FruitPunch say I

Been thinking about it. My Granny has a 200 gallon tank for the John Deere and I've been thinking about putting one at my dad's for my EX. My brother filled up his 89 IDI at my Granny's and said it ran like a top. I was wondering how much cheaper it is (I know it's gotta be $.375 a gallon cheaper). Don't know if it's worth sticking it to the man if you get caught.

Re: who's Runnin The FruitPunch say I

would it be legal to run an actual sulfur additive if one was available? the low PPM sulphur is required for the new trucks with DPFs, so is it still legal to run high sulphur fuel in the older trucks? Just wondering...

It's not the lack of sulfur, it's the process of removing the sulfur that destroys the lubricants.

don't they have to treat it with sulfuric acid or something like that?

Somebody's making some extra money or they're trying to make it were nobody tries to run it on the road. The taxes alone in Texas are around $.375 a gallon. They use to post the taxes on the pump but don't any more so it could be more. So much for transparency with our government. The road taxes are the reason we don't have alternative fueled cars - how do you tax them? I'll stop now...

Looks like $.444 a gallon for diesel in TX by the time you add federal and state taxes together.
