Kendall 15-40 HDDO

I can get this stuff from work pretty cheap. Anyone ever use it?

I know Kendall makes PRICEY synthetic racing oil... Never heard much about their diesel lineup.

yes, back in the late 80's i worked for a guy that was anal about his trucks, and that is all he would use, kendall dino. i'm not saying it is the best, but this guy would not have used it if he thought there was something better.

p.s. greg its good to see you back posting, you have some catching up to do if you want to dethrone CAT!

Re: Kendall 15-40 HDDO

The Kendall oil produced today is not the same stuff produced in the '80's. The Kendall name was sold years ago, 1997 according to the Brad Penn website. The original "recipe" (so to speak) oil is still being produced by Brad Penn Refinery, former owners of the Kendall name, and they also produce diesel oil. Look under "Additional Products" at http://www.bradpennracing.com
A buddy of mine builds racing engines and he swears by this stuff. He uses the diesel oil in his truck also. IIRC he said it was around $70 for a 4 gallon case, however, that was awhile back.

My Mechanical Philosophy: If it don't fit.....FORCE IT, if it breaks it was weak and needed to be replaced anyway
