Burning WMO...

I want to start burning my WMO and tranny fluid. I don't stockpile it so I will be storing it in a 5 gal kerosene can. What is a good, inexpensive way to filter the oil before I dump it in the tank? I want to burn the stuff, I don't want to clog up any of my filters unnecessarily though. I'm not worried about ruining injectors, I have an airdog pre pump filter and the filter bowl still in place so there is plenty of filter media bewteen the crud and my engine.

Re: Burning WMO...

I have a threaded hand pump with a filter housing on the outlet then the hose. I'm using a 6 micron filter. I have another guy using it also.

Maybe a dumb question, but by a "threaded" hand pump, you mean a hand pump that has a threaded end on it that you can screw the filter housing to? If that's the case I may be able to whip together something like that in no time.

Do you recall where you found that pump, or is it something you made? I've been looking around on the interweb but didn't see anything off hand that looked like what you were talking about. But the idea is easy enough that I could gather up a few fittings and what not and put a little pump assembly together.

Veggie oil no WMO but I collapsed my threaded hand pump filter due to the viscosity of the oil.So Premix prior may dilut the veggie.

Jizzy don't like tranny fluid.I poured six gallon into her and she did not run right knocked hard and smoked.Don't know why just didn't run right.I have ran over 75 gallons of motor oil in her.One tank was 95% easy. The rest about 50%.I haven't had any issues. It will leave a white chalky residue in your tail pipe.It will also smoke white wisp.
