Schaffer Oil

What has been your experience with this oil? I understand if you buy 500.00 dollars worth of oil then you can get free oil analisis from Schaffer. A 55 gallon drum of Schaffers is over 200 dollars more than rotela, or more depending on which oil you purchase. I am trying to decide if the extra cost is worth it considering the free oil analisis.

Re: Schaffer Oil

With a drum you get three oil sample bottles as long as you ask for them.

The 7000 is way better then anything Rotella has to offer not to mention you can go much longer on change intervals making up for the extra 200.0.

Re: Schaffer Oil

I average 7,500-8,500 between oil changes with Schaeffer's series 7000 15W-40 with an oil analysis.

Also, any order over $300 will also get you free shipping.

The price won't be as different soon, Shell will have another 15-18% increase come 31 May.

Why only 5000 miles on the trucks, lots of hours?

Re: Schaffer Oil

If I read his signature correct he has TE's Big Oil on two of those trucks. That will shear the oil quicker than the stock HPOP setup. With dual pumps running high ICP you can easily see most oil drop below 13.0 CST sooner.

Soaggy,

What dual HPOP system is on the dually you just bought. It's oil analysis showed it maintained 13.55 (40 weight oil) at 4,500 miles on Schaeffer's. The last sample looked pretty good for the mods on the beast........

Thumbs up Re: Schaffer Oil

That'd be the Stealth and he wasn't running 3900 icp or whatever it is.
