Been looking this up for a long time now and can’t seem to find a definitive answer to this question. I have 96 standard 4.10s intake 4” straight pipe ts chip and tow a lot with it. I wanna get more mid range power out of it and faster spooling but is a wheel and a 1.0 housing too much of a good thing?
I’d check out KC turbos specifically their new designed exhaust side and intake billet aluminum parts for stock turbo housing rebuild. That with a 1.0 or .91 exhaust housing, pending tire size you’re running will be a positive addition. Currently running above exhaust side with a new billet 6x6 intake wheel ZF with 37”s and 1.0 housing stock jectors (for now). Probably would do a little better off idle towing with a .91 exhaust housing.
Cheers,
j
I'd also look at anything from KC turbos. Wonderful customer service over email and on the phone.
