F-350 front springs

Is there a difference between gaser and diesel f-350 front leaf springs. i have heard some say yes and no. Or is it that the F-350 springs handle the weight of our motors better. I was wondering cuz i am doing a dana 60 swap into my 97. And i found a gaser F-350 for $600 with the rest of the parts i need to complete my swap.

Re: F-350 front springs

Not sure if there is any difference and really if you are gonna keep it for a while track down some used SD springs and get a Sky Shackle Reversal Kit and install that way better ride. PM OBSWIZ his name is Cary and he can help you with what you need to including shocks.

Re: F-350 front springs

I think its a 351 my buddy said not sure yet gotta go look at it. When i called the shop i get all my suspension stuff from he said they were the same. Just dont make sense did ford really make two types of springs rated for different loads cuz they all have the normal two leafs up front.
