i have a shake and a rattle in the back of the truck ideas?

so right at 40 miles an hour the back of the truck feels like its bouncing up and down. its not servere, but its definatley noticeable the u joints have less than 10k on them and were greased less than 2k ago.. the rattle sounded like it was the skid plate, which was loose. i tightened it and somethings still rattling, its seems to be every time the rear axle hits a bump. or the truck flexes going off a hill or something. if i stand on the bumper and jump up and down i can not re create the noise in my driveway.
any ideas?
Thanks guys

Check your bed and tailgate. Maybe exhaust rubbing something. Or up in the rust belt maybe your shackles rotted off and now are hitting the bed

Looking for Blue 40-20-40 seat for OBS. PM me if any known

well i pulled into my driveway, caught the curb with the rear drivers side. it made a nice little crunch.. it was the last part of the front spring bracket letting go. i tapped on the other side with a hammer and its still pretty solid, the rears hangers and shackles were replaced by the p.o they still have the stickers on them. i know i have to get to it as soon as possible but by driving it am i asking for a sudden catastrophic failure? because i dont know if i will have time until the weekend to take care of it
thanks guys

YES. If that front spring hanger for the rear springs lets go the whole axle can shift sending the truck sideways into oncoming traffic, with NO NOTICE

Either that or take a grinder and cut an X thru the heads then punch them out with a air chisle

Ford still sells the hangers(and stocks them) but you will pay.

I think LMC sells them but are a cheaper quality.

Napa also sells them, are a decent quality and either have them in stock or next day
Spring hangers and shackles - PowerStrokeNation Go to post 9 for the front hanger

Re: i have a shake and a rattle in the back of the truck ideas?

pretty common rear noise in a few of the SD's ive had was the rear sway bar link bushings. Ive also had my bed bolts come loose or rust away & rattle. They make a heck of a noise but only on the road & when u hit a bump .

NOS is like a hot chick with STD's you know you wana hit it your just afraid of the consequences!!!
