Trade or not

Howdy! I have had my 96 F350 XLT crew cab 4x4 going on 5 years. The truck is somewhat stock with 176k miles on it and aftermarket warn winch bumper and winch. It is starting to break down and wearing thin on my bank account. It has been a good truck and is my daily driver. Preventive maintenance has been done, but looking at HPOP in the near future and would like to upgrade the turbo, upgrade the injectors and do the RSK Lift on it. The wife is wanting me to get a newer truck. She is looking at a 2003 F250 Lariat crew cab 4x4 with 110k miles on it and all the bells and whistles on it. It is basically stock as well. I dont know what maintenance has been done on this except that a stealership is selling it. They are asking right at 16000. We are located in Alaska so truck prices are a little higher here. Any words of advice would be greatly appreciated.

is it a 6.0 or 7.3? They made both that year.

it is a 6.0. Ive heard nothing but bad things...just want to confirm and ask for guidance.

Stick with the 7.3... The couple of things you want to do far outweight the issues with the early 6.0's

If it was a 7.3 id say do it. But that 6.0 will quarter and dollar you.

08 duramax ccsb efi live, air dog 2, isspros, 5 inch exhaust and some other cool things. 2001 duramax 2wd (Project truck)
Once had a signature that had some bad ass stuff on it. Now its back to crap.

stick with what you got and be happy...trade and regret it for the rest of your life..

95 F-350 4X4, 7.3, auto, reg cab longbox- 4'' MBRP exhaust, 6637 intake, T-500, intercooler, gauges, fluidamper, FS-2500, swamp's modded idm, '03SD seats and more to come...

**WANTED** 4spd transmission for a diesel ranger with 2.2 perkins diesel..pm me if you have one..

Which HPOP would you go with ...Ford Motorcraft or Adrenaline from dieselsite? What turbo back exhaust would you recommend?

Save the 13000 dollars and keep your truck. Between the Ford and Adrenaline I would go with the Adrenaline. I am kind of biased since I have one though. Go with a full size 3" downpipe and a 4" exhaust. If you don't smog there go with a catless version or just straight pipe it.
