Timing cover question!!

I did some research on cover differences and just have a question. I have a 95.5 block with a bad cover and a 97 motor in my truck with a major knock (Rod). I just wanna know if i take the 97 cover, hpop, front pump, pickup tube and bracket, swap the oil pans will it work? Thanks!

Re: Timing cover question!!

Awsome! Any pointer on swapping these front covers? Does the lower oil pump have to be removed from the cover?

Re: Timing cover question!!

You will also need to use the 95 intakes unless you swap the heads, the 95s have 8 bolts and the 97s are 10 bolts. There also may be a difference in the drivers side exhaust manifolds. Use the 97s for you 97 truck.
