Discard?

My front leaf springs have this "bumper" in them. It says discard on them. Should I trash em?

Re: Discard?

Right, but they have been there since i have owned the truck, probably since new and they look like a bumper for tire rubbing issues. wondering what they are for/why they need removed.

Re: Discard?

Could it be something like the matress tag that says "do not remove"?

Re: Discard?

Maybe it's discard IF you ever take them off.... Just a guess.

If they have been working fine I wouldn't remove them. Metal to rubber is better than metal to metal.

Re: Discard?

My truck had those too, they are supposed to be removed at the dealership before delivery to the customer.

My tires were rubbing them, so I yanked them out, they aren't hurting anything being there, so it's up to you.
