I need a buzzer that wont drive me craaazy

so i unhooked my buzzer. annoying. so i left my lights on. any way to remind me to shut my lights off without the stock buzzer? is there a dinger from another vehicle i could use that wont give me a headache?

You can either put the buzzer back in and then disable the key chime witch is very simple or if you have done like a lot have and tried to see what was inside it with a hammer get one from just about any automotive store. It will hook into the fuse box on a circkit that works when the lights are on.

I just disabled my key dinger and left the light dinger. I piece of tape over the brass strip on the ignition lock cylinder does the trick.

I did the same thing as tom but I was not so gentle when pulling my keyswitch out and reinstall now the thing only works if my headlights are left on.

I realize it isn't exactly what you were looking for in an answer, but I have just made it a habit to always try to push the light knob in, even during the day in the summer. I find that every once in awhile I will have turned them on and forgot, and since I to check every time that I turn the key off, it works. It also helps that I have never had the buzzer thingy.
