difference in manuals

was there a difference in the manuals offered in the OBS fords? Say the one for the small block is different from the big block or the diesel.

Bellhousing bolt patterns are different. the small blocks and 6 banger got one pattern housing. The 460 got a different housing pattern and the diesel got yet another housing pattern.

I was wanting to know about internals. A small block isn't going to require the same tranny as a diesel, but in my reading it appears that they both came wth a s5-47 (96-97). I just wanted to verify this if anyone know for sure.
