Low Range indicator light

My low range indicator does not light but my 4X4 light does when in high or low range. I've checked the switch and bulb and both are good. I tested the plug that connects into the switch and I get a reading of about 12 volts on the one lead but only about 6 volts on the other. I don't know if that's normal or not. Does anyone have circuit info on this? What is the wire color code going into the firewall? Is there any other things on this circuit?

96 F350 4x4 XLT 7.3 76,472 orig miles, Stage I's, Adrenaline, IDM, EBPV, Tymar intake, Banks intercooler, downpipe, gauges, TW 6 position chip, John Wood Towmaster, 1.0 turbo, WW II, Electric fuel conversion, RSK, OH console, Durn cat done run off an I can't find it.

Re: Low Range indicator light

This might help........

A simple circuit test would be to ground the light blue wire (at the switch) and the 4x4 light should come on, and grounding the light blue/ black should illuminate the low range light.

If this works OK then the switch is bad.

Good Luck
