3.55 or 4.10s

So I recently rebuilt the motor and tranny in my truck and solid axle swapped it but the d60 I put in had 3.55 gears and I swapped my rears to match and now it's a pain to drive on the highway because it feels like it has no power in OD and is extremely smokey when trying to accelerate in OD. It's an automatic and I'm running 305 tires I was wondering opinions if I should swap back to 4.10s and deal with higher rpms at 70 or just watch the egts and deal with some sluggishness with the 3.55s. The truck has baby swamps injectors, colt cams "stage 2" cam, efuel, 3in dp and a wicked wheel 2. I just feel it should be making more power cruising in OD.

with 305 tires, 4.11 gears are the way to go.

Re: 3.55 or 4.10s

I'm running 315's (1/2" diff from 305's) on 410's....

Plenty of power in OD or otherwise.

Pulling a (loaded) 2 car all steel trailer 2 weeks ago easy 70+mph no problem.

Granted I'm running a T4 setup on Rosewood 160/80's on Tony Wildman tunes.

1997 F-250 Powerstroke, 4x4, D60, RSK, V&B's, 35" BFG ATA's on 16x10's, 6637 DIY Intake, Swamps IDM Mod, 3" DP, 4" single exhaust, Beans E-Fuel, Intercooled, Rosewood 160/80's, T4 S366SXE, Irate 3" Plenums, Terminator T500, Tony Wildman Tunes, Gauges (Pyro/Boost/Trans).

Re: 3.55 or 4.10s

You have a cam in a basically stock truck???

Pull that out, I bet you make more power...

As far as Gearing, I have 35s and 4.10s with stock injs and stock turbo, and it pulls the big trailer just fine in OD.
